Students will read about and discuss human nature as it relates to communication
and diversity.
Students will read about and discuss the relationship between science and nature.
Classroom Policies:
Students are expected to read the material, complete assignments in a timely
fashion, and attend class. Class discussion is an important part of the class
experience. To insure quality class discussion, students need to express opinions
and respect the views of others. Students are to turn off cell phones and computers
and refrain from texting. Students must have an average of 60% and satisfactorily
complete all three formal papers to receive credit for the class.
Grading:
One-third: formal research papers
One third: daily quizzes, assignments and activities
One third: midterm and final
Academic Integrity:
All assignments, tests and quizzes will meet the standards of accepted academic
integrity.
Campus Email Policy
Dakota College at Bottineau is increasingly dependent upon email as an official
form of communication. A student’s campus-assigned email address will be the
only one recognized by the campus for official mailings. The liability for missing
or not acting upon important information conveyed via campus email rests with
