Evaluation:

1) Eight Weekly Threaded Discussion over assigned readings (

remember to respond to others

-- it is part of your grade!

) – 25 points each (200 points)

2) Eight Weekly Reading Quizzes – 25 points each (200 points)

3) 16 Weekly Assignments (response papers -- two each week) – 25 points each (400 points)

4) Three Essays – 100 points each (300 points)

5) A Final Exam – 100 points

Total possible points for course: 1200

Directions about the above assignments will be posted in the course.

Grading Scale:

Grades are assigned based on the following percentages: 100%-93% = A; 92%-90%

= A-; 89%-87% = B+; 86%-83% = B; 82%-80% = B-; 79%-77% = C+; 76%-73% = C; 72%-70% =

C-; 69%-67% = D+; 66%-63% = D; 62%-60% = D-; 59%-0% = F.
