Course Description:

Students will learn about the different types of climbing equipment and how they are used for pruning

and tree removal. They will also be introduced to industry safety and quality standards, as well as how

to recognize potential hazards and to use safety skills.

Pre-requisites:

PLSC 273 and PLSC 275

Course Objectives:

It is expected that students will be knowledgeable of:

Industry safety standards

Chain saw operation and safety

How to fell a tree

Brush chipper and stump cutter operation and safety

Aerial lift and crane usage and safety
