Introduction to the Understanding of Visual Art (Online)

Three (3) Credits – 8 Weeks

Course Description:

We live in a world full of visual imagery in which we are a part of that

scenery. This course studies the structure, meaning and appreciation of

visual art forms, using it as a framework on which to build further knowledge

and understanding of art. This course will help students understand art

terminology, the history of art, artists’ works, and the evolution of art

through the ages. We will also explore mediums in art such as drawing,

painting, printmaking, sculpture, photo and film, through lecture and hands

on, in class assignments.
