Permission from academic advisors is required to enroll in more than 19 credits. After the approved signature of the advisor has been received, stop by the Student Services Office to be enrolled in the course. Unit Load Petition forms must be submitted to Student Services before the last day to add classes. A maximum of 22 semester hours can be approved by the academic advisor to students who meet eligibility requirements.
Petition Eligibility
- First semester Freshmen who are new students may not enroll for more than 19 semester hours.
- Students must have a 3.0 for full-time enrollment in the preceding semester or a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or the extra course is required for graduation in the semester immediately prior to graduation.
The following courses are not applicable when considering unit load limitations: ASC 75, ASC 88, HPER 210, SOC 105. In addition, any special topics, individual studies, field studies, physical education activity, special problems, co-op ed or individual research are not applicable. Course which carry one credit are also exempt from unit load limit policies.
