32 hours of training at a clinical site (you are required to wear an appropriate hospital uniform, scrubs, and clean shoes during this training) All students must be TB tested before starting clinical hours. Grading: 89.5-100% A 79.5-89.4% B 69.5-79.4% C 59.5-69.4% D <59.4% F Classroom Policies It is the student’s responsibility to read the assigned chapters and finish the assigned material text before taking the CNA exam. The dates/times of the skills training and clinical time will be set up with the instructor. Students are expected to participate in the skills training with their fellow students. The skills and clinical training offers a hands on learning experience and student participation to their full extent. The academic experience should include interaction and participation from all involved to help facilitate a higher level of learning. Please show respect to others in the class by turning off cell phones and other electronic devices. Lap tops are not required during skills training and the clinical experience of this class so they will not be allowed to be operated during those times. Respectful behavior toward other students, instructors, guests, and the staff and patients at the clinical site is expected of everyone. Academic Integrity: Webster’s Encyclopedia Unabridged Dictionary defines plagiarism as: “the appropriation or imitation of the language, ideas, and thoughts of another author, and representation of the as one’s original work.” There will be zero tolerance of any form of academic dishonesty. Anyone not adhering to the academic integrity policy will receive an “F” in the course. This includes cheating on test, not doing own work, and plagiarism. References will be checked.
