Course Prefix/Number/Title: HORT 248 – Greenhouse Structures Number of credits: 1 Semester Credit Course Description: This course identifies different greenhouse structures. The final choice of the type of greenhouse will depend on the growing space desired, site architecture, available sites, and costs. The greenhouse should provide the proper environment for growing plants. Objectives: 1. Learn and understand basic greenhouse structures. 2. Be able to discuss the pros and cons of each type of structure. 3. Create a layout plan describing structure type, ventilation, heating and cooling and watering systems. The final grade is based on the following criteria: A = 89.5% to 100% of the total points B = 79.5% o < 89.5% of the total points C = 68.5% to <79.5% of the total points D = 59.6% to <69.5% of the total points F = < 59.5% of the total points
