allotted time will be given a zero. The “allotted time” given is at the discretion of the instructor and will be communicated to the students throughout the course. (Note: It is the responsibility of the student to schedule make-up work with the instructor at a time convenient to both parties.) Final letter grades are assigned based on the following criteria: A = 90-100% of the total points B = 80-90% of the total points C = 70-80% of the total points D = 60-70% of the total points F = <60% of the total points The instructor reserves the right to modify this syllabus and course requirements at any time. Tentative Course Outline/Topics: *January 24 th -26 th students will have the option to attend the NPSAS Winter Conference in Fargo, ND **January 28 th – 30 th students will be attending the North Dakota Greenhouse, Nursery and Landscaping Association (NDGLA) conference in Fargo, ND as a required field trip for the class. Travel, Hotel and Registration costs will be covered by the Horticulture Department, though students may be responsible for some meals. If you join/add the class after conference registration you will not be able to attend and will be required to do a make-up assignment as assigned by the instructor. ***Feb 2 nd students will have the option to attend the ND Local Food Conference in Mandan, ND ****Note Sometime in March there will be scheduled a mandatory field trip to Lowe's Floral and Garden Center, Minot ND and sometime in April the International Peace Gardens.
