By planting trees and shrubs in our cities, near our homes, and in rural areas, we are utilizing their natural ability to clean the air, temper high winds, and cool our homes. Technology in arboriculture includes new techniques for planting, watering and pruning, along with the constant improvement of the tools used to perform these tasks. As we look to the future , trees become even more important in the face of a gradually warming planet and the effects it will have on people everywhere. Classroom Policies: This three credit, online course requires the following to build and engage a classroom community of learners: Log in to the course a minimum of three times per week. Complete and submit coursework on time. Pace yourself, and make sure that all assignments are completed by the end of the semester. Late work may not be submitted and will earn 0 points. Communicate with the instructor. Reading the assigned texts is the student’s responsibility and is essential to success in this course.
