3 Classroom Policies: Students are required to treat the instructor and peers with utmost respect at all times within the classroom. This includes limiting the use of distracting technologies including but not limited to; cell phones, laptop computers and portable hand held gaming devices. Students who are disruptive to the learning environment will be asked to leave and any work missed will not be made up. Student Email Policy: Dakota College at Bottineau is increasingly dependent upon email as an official form of communication. A student’s campus-assigned email address will be the only one recognized by the campus for official mailings. The liability for missing or not acting upon important information conveyed via campus email rests with the student. Academic Integrity: Students are expected and required to adhere to the standards of academic integrity as outlined in the DCB student code of conduct. Students can review the code on page 11 of the electronic handbook by accessing it online at : www.dakotacollege.edu/handbook . In this course students are expected to create and present only work drafted by the enrolled student for credit. In the event that a student knowingly or unwittingly commits plagiarism I will confer with the student in private and determine the cause for academic dishonesty. If a student is found to have knowingly submitted plagiarized work, there will be no credit assigned. If the behavior continues, the instructor reserves the right to administratively withdraw the student from the course.
