3 | P a g e GRADING SYSTEM Required Assignments Points Percentage (%) Tests (1): Final 150 17 Assignments (6) 50 x 6 = 300 33 Discussion Posts (6) 50 x 6 = 300 33 Final Project 150 17 Total 900 100 GRADING BASIS Letter Percent A =>90 B =>80 C =>70 D =>60 F <60 ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION • Only one test will be given throughout the semester, a final; it will be comprehensive and in an online format. o Failure to complete the final exam will result in an “F” for a final grade in the course. o Tests must be completed by the due date, or a “0%” will be given. Arrangements must be made TWO DAYS prior to when the test/quiz is given in order to make up test/quiz beforehand. You will not be allowed to take the test after the due date – NO EXCEPTIONS. o Taking tests with other classmates is unacceptable and considered cheating. If students’ test times overlap a “0%” will be given with no option to retake. • Six assignments and six discussion posts will be assigned throughout the semester. These are to be written double-spaced in Times New Roman font, 12 pt. In the header, put the class and assignment label, the date, and your name; this is shown below: AGRI 150 – Assignment #1 8-30-19 Your Name • A weekly discussion post, of at least 200 words will be due every Thursday. By Saturday, you must respond to one classmate’s post with two solid points. o Key Point: In your first introductory discussion post on Blackboard write “I read the entire syllabus for AGRI 150, including the key point.” If you do not write this in your first discussion post, you will only receive half-credit. • All assignments/discussion posts are to be turned in on Blackboard by the due date.
