About Todd
Todd Vorenkamp has been taking photographs for over 30 years. Todd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the Academy of Art University. He is a former US Navy and Coast Guard helicopter aviator who has flown as an aircraft commander in the Boeing CH-46D Seaknight, Sikorsky UH-3H Sea King, Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk, and Eurocopter MH-65C Dauphin helicopters. Todd has also sailed as a mate on large ocean-going containerships as a licensed merchant marine officer. While teaching photography classes at Dakota College, he is a Senior Creative Content Writer at the famous B&H Photo Video store in New York City where he creates educational content for their online magazine. He also works as a freelance writer, freelance photographer, and sailing instructor.
