This allows ample time for the admissions office to communicate requirements and process documents so that the student may enroll in courses before the semester begins. Admission of First-Year Students A first-year applicant is one who has not attended a postsecondary institution after high school graduation. First-year applicants who are seeking admission to Dakota College must submit the following materials: 1. A completed application for admission and housing form, if applicable. 2. A $35 application fee. This fee is not refundable. 3. An official high school transcript as proof of high school graduation. 4. An official transcript of high school equivalency examinations authorized as high school equivalency in the state in which it is earned may be accepted in lieu of high school transcript. 5. Evidence of immunization against measles, mumps, rubella and, if under 21 years old, meningococcal disease. The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education requires that all students attending North Dakota state institutions demonstrate immunity to these diseases. Such immunity can be proven by: a) presenting evidence of two doses of measles,
