Since 1982 Dakota College at Bottineau Alumni Association has hosted an Awards Recognition banquet which honors athletes, students, supportive community members and alumni. The DCB Alumni accepts nominations for Golden Service Award, Friend of the College, and Young Alumnus annually. The Alumni Association and Lumberjack Athletic Hall of Fame recipients will be acknowledged at the Awards Recognition Banquet, Friday, October 11 in the Alumni Center at Thatcher Hall. The award recipients and guests have been contacted by special invite.
The Dakota College at Bottineau Foundation has awarded eight students with the Elmer C. Lindberg Nursing Scholarship this academic year. Elmer Lindberg established an endowment to provide healthcare scholarships in May of 1995, to honor the excellent care his wife Bernice received from the local healthcare facilities before her death.
Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) has received a funding opportunity in the amount of $341,784.00 from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for implementation of NRCS conservation practices in small-scale farms in North Dakota.

September 19th is North Dakota Farm to School Day and Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) celebrates with the local Bottineau Public Schools. DCB’s Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture has a Produce Grower’s License through First District Health Unit enabling sales to Bottineau Public School. DCB farm is a demonstration farm to help educate students and producers on food safety procedures and growing methods.
Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) was invited to a dodgeball tournament at Brandon University, Manitoba last weekend. Even though this was Brandon University’s 9th year hosting the tournament, “Battle on the Border” this was DCB’s first year competing.

The Dakota College Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture and Specialty Crops department are holding a high tunnel workshop for educators on October 19th from 9 AM to 6 PM on the Dakota College at Bottineau campus.
DCB has just signed a contract with a company called UNESCO to make numerous improvements to the college’s lighting systems, heating and ventilation controls, building weather-stripping and sealing, and plumbing fixtures. The most noticeable change will be the replacement of existing lighting with LED technology.
September 23rd to 27th is Phi Theta Kappa Awareness week. Dakota College at Bottineau invites members from the faculty, staff and student body to learn more about the opportunities available to them through membership in this distinguished organization.
