Dakota College Announces Athletic Director

Dakota College at Bottineau is pleased to announce the hiring of Corey Gorder as its new Athletic Director. Gorder will assume his duties with the start of the new semester in January 2020. Wayne Johnson and Mike Getzloff will continue as interim co-Athletic Directors through the end of the fall semester, 2019.

DCB Receives Virtual Realty Headsets

The North Dakota Space Grant Consortium (NDSGC) is participating in NASA’s pilot program for their newly developed content related to NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. As a partner in piloting these activities, Dakota College at Bottineau’s (DCB) Associate Science Professor Angie Bartholomay attended the Next Gen STEM Commercial Crew Program Pilot Space Grant Training last spring. She was trained on the newly developed NASA content which aligns with NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, including virtual reality training.

The Dakota College at Bottineau Leaderjacks promotes leadership through community service. The Leaderjacks assisted the Minot Rotary Club in a fund raiser on Wednesday, October 23rd in Minot.
New Program at DCB in Minot

New Program at DCB in Minot

Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is excited to announce a new health care program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) also known as ultrasound technology. This program will be offered in Minot in collaboration with Trinity Health. Currently, DCB offers an associate degree in Paramedic Technology and certificate and associate degree program in nursing to student in Minot. DCB also offers online allied health programs in Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Coding and Medical Assistant.

At the end of September, students from Williston State College’s Agriculture program, joined by Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) and Dickinson State University (DSU) students, attended a two-day range tour across western and central North Dakota.
A Third Little Free Library Installed

A Third Little Free Library Installed

A third Little Free Library sponsored by Dakota College at Bottineau was recently installed by the Gazebo at 5th and Main, north of Bottineau Pharmacy RX, Coffee & Gift Shop. The two other Little Free Libraries were installed at Tommy Turtle Park and Forestry Park in August of 2016.

DCB Receives Community Grant

Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) has been awarded a local community grant through an open application process from Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities, “Walmart Community Grant”. As a nonprofit college, DCB benefited directly from Bottineau’s Walmart store at the local level. By receiving this grant, DCB is part of a long history of Walmart’s commitment to giving back to the communities where they operate.

DCB Hosting Awards Recognition Banquet

Since 1982 Dakota College at Bottineau Alumni Association has hosted an Awards Recognition banquet which honors athletes, students, supportive community members and alumni. The DCB Alumni accepts nominations for Golden Service Award, Friend of the College, and Young Alumnus annually. The Alumni Association and Lumberjack Athletic Hall of Fame recipients will be acknowledged at the Awards Recognition Banquet, Friday, October 11 in the Alumni Center at Thatcher Hall. The award recipients and guests have been contacted by special invite.

DCB Foundation Announces Lindberg Nursing Scholarship Recipient’s

The Dakota College at Bottineau Foundation has awarded eight students with the Elmer C. Lindberg Nursing Scholarship this academic year. Elmer Lindberg established an endowment to provide healthcare scholarships in May of 1995, to honor the excellent care his wife Bernice received from the local healthcare facilities before her death.
