Dakota College at Bottineau will be hosting the North Dakota University System Agriculture academic discipline group on May 13 and 14, 2024. This group includes representatives from DCB along with Bismarck State College, Dickinson State University, Lake Region State College, Mayville State University, North Dakota State College of Science, North Dakota State University, Valley City State University, Williston State College, Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College, and Sitting Bull College.

Once a year the agriculture academic discipline group meets at one of the NDUS participating institutions. DCB has been offering Agriculture Management since fall 2019 along with a collaborative animal science and range management with Williston State College. The event provides an opportunity to discuss the agriculture curriculum, transferability for students, campus updates, and articulation agreements. Dr. Carmen Simone, DCB Campus Dean/CEO, is excited to welcome the faculty group to campus, “This is an opportunity to collaborate with like institutions to share best practices while assessing positive student outcomes in the agriculture programs.”  Discussions are intended to facilitate the seamless transfer of credits and reduce credit loss between NDUS institutions. ND Career & Technical Education will provide updates related to the agriculture discipline. Participants will tour local businesses at Pay-Dak Dairy, Towner State Nursery, and Pride Dairy.
