DCB Alumni Invited to Showcase
Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) has the only Photography program within the State of North Dakota. Students are ready to start within the photography business after graduation. Leslie Ostreim, a 2016 graduate of the DCB program is a testament to the DCB Photography program. The Cobblestone Inn, Bottineau will showcase her work in June.
She’s always loved taking photos, and in 2013 decided to pursue a career in photography. In 2011 Leslie graduated with an AAS degree in Graphic Design. In 2016 Leslie graduated from DCB with an AAS degree in Photography.
Leslie spent two years photographing events, and sports for DCB. The last three years she has been applying herself as a professional photographer. Even though Leslie specializes in senior portraits, she loves taking photos whatever the subject may be. As the Studio Manager for DCB she can share her passion for photography with students, along with being the graphic designer and campus photographer.
There is a unique perception within Leslie’s photographs. She captures her models’ unique personalities by using natural lighting outside and indoor studio lighting. Leslie says she learnings something new every day, “so my style never stays the same”. “My new thing with seniors has been smoke bombs, or we come up with something creative that also showcases who they are.”
The photos at the Cobblestone Showcase will be senior portraits, some photos from Ireland and some boudoir photos which is unique to Leslie’s portfolio. The Showcase will open with an opportunity to meet Leslie on June 1 at 5:00 pm with her collection displayed through June.
