Dakota College Awards Online Scholarship

Dakota College at Bottineau Staff Senate organization recently awarded the second annual online scholarship. Online student, Benjamin Paulson is this year’s recipient. Benjamin is from Naperville, Illinois. He is a fulltime online student pursuing a degree in Urban Forestry Management.
 
The Staff Senate scholarship is worth $500 for the academic year. Campus fundraisers are conducted throughout the year to fund the annual scholarship. JaLee Lynnes, Staff Senate President shares how great it has been to see staff pull together for the students, “ I am proud that our staff has a heart for raising funds to assist our students in achieving their academic goals”.

The student must be a fulltime online degree seeking student with a sophomore status. They must have a 3.5 or higher GPA. In addition, they must maintain that GPA to receive the funds in the spring. The student must identify a financial need through a completed FAFSA.
