About Jason
After a 25½ year career with John Deere, Jason was named Lumberjacks Softball Coach in January 2023. Jason grew up in Kulm,ND and after graduating from Kulm high school he went on to attend Jamestown College, then transferred and graduated from Valley City State University. After farming through the 90’s Jason started working for John Deere in the fall of 1997 and eventually went on to then get his Masters Degree in Business Administration from American InterContinental University while working at John Deere.

Jason has also Coached and been Program Director of travel Softball in North Dakota with the ND Elite program. ND Elite has won several State and a National Championship since their inception in 2013.
One of the most powerful tools a softball player can have is her mind. The famous quote sums up negative thought stopping in a short sentence, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Therefore, we must take the negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. Jason and his wife Misty both now work at Dakota College, they enjoy outdoor activities, Softball especially, Golfing and just generally spending time outside.
Their son Dustin is the Head Coach at D1 Training in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
