About Deidre

I have been teaching college courses since 2009. To put it simply, I LOVE what I do, and I LOVE getting to know my students!  I became a full-time instructor for Dakota College at Bottineau in the fall of 2023.  Prior to that, I was an adjunct at DCB and another ND institution.

I first received an AAS degree in Human Resources from MNSCTC (Moorhead) and then went on to receive my undergraduate degree in Human Resources/Human Services with minors in Sociology and Psychology from Valley City State University. I received my Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from UND and will receive my Master's Degree in Sociology from UND in the near future. I've worked in several Human Resources positions (office management, recruiting, health & safety), I have a great appreciation for how the mind works, and how we function (or sometimes don’t) as a society!

I live in Kenmare, ND where I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kids.  We have 4 cats (I may be a "crazy cat lady") and a dog as well. Our house is always full and there are toys/technology/skin care and pet stuff everywhere! My hobbies consist of spending time with my family, reading lots of articles about my topics of interest, and watching Grey’s Anatomy.  We LOVE watching football, too, and typically enjoy watching the Vikings.

I have taken several online/ITV/in-classroom courses as a student and understand how having an accessible instructor can make all the difference!
