Grant Writer

12 month, full-time, benefited position

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

This position will report to the Campus Dean and will be responsible for identifying, researching, and writing external grant proposals to secure government and private funding to support DCB’s mission, priorities and goals.  A portion of the duties assigned to this position will focus on advancing DCB’s Entrepreneurial Center for Horticulture (ECH).

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

Appropriate bachelor’s degree; grant writing experience; strategic thinking and planning skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong written, oral, and listening skills; ability to organize and meet deadlines; excellent interpersonal skills; proficiency in computer software and keyboarding.

QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 

Three years successful grant writing experience; master’s degree or evidence of intention to earn a master’s degree in three years.

Compensation:  12 month, full-time, benefited position.  Salary based on experience and education.  Retirement plan and full coverage for family health insurance.

STARTING DATE: Negotiable, but ideally by March 15, 2018.

CLOSING DATE:  January 31, 2018.  However, applications will be reviewed until a qualified candidate is found.

Full-Time Practical Nurse / Clinical Nurse Instructor

9-month plus 1.5 summer month, full-time, benefited

LOCATION:  Dakota College at Bottineau, Trinity Health 5th Avenue Medical site, Minot ND.

BACKGROUND CHECK:  DCB does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment. 

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking an instructor to teach clinical courses in its nursing program to undergraduate students in the practical nursing program. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences in the clinical areas with nursing students enrolled in the Dakota Nursing Program. The person will be responsible for curriculum including, nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires strong organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

SALARY:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.

Associate Degree Nurse Faculty

Full-time 11 month, non-tenure, benefited position

LOCATION:  Dakota College at Bottineau distance site at Trinity St. Joseph Campus, Minot, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is an 11-month, non-tenure, benefited position.

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking an instructor to teach courses in its nursing program to undergraduate students in practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences in the classroom and clinical areas with nursing students enrolled in the Dakota Nursing Program

Responsible for curriculum including online, selection of course materials, monitoring program progress, supervising part-time nursing instructors, nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related area, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the master's degree program within three years

SALARY:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.
