Practical Nurse Clinical Nurse Instructor

9-month plus 1.5 summer month, part-time, non-benefited position.

LOCATION:  Dakota College at Bottineau, Bottineau, ND.

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking an instructor to teach clinical courses in its nursing program to undergraduate students in the practical nursing program. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences in the clinical areas with nursing students enrolled in the Dakota Nursing Program. The person will be responsible for curriculum including, nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires strong organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

SALARY:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.

Associate Degree Nurse Faculty

Full-time 11 month, non-tenure, benefited position

LOCATION:  Dakota College at Bottineau distance site at Trinity St. Joseph Campus, Minot, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is an 11-month, non-tenure, benefited position.

JOB SUMMARY:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking an instructor to teach courses in its nursing program to undergraduate students in practical nursing and associate degree nursing programs. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences in the classroom and clinical areas with nursing students enrolled in the Dakota Nursing Program

Responsible for curriculum including online, selection of course materials, monitoring program progress, supervising part-time nursing instructors, nursing skills assessment, course instruction, course assessment, and clinical supervision.  This position requires organizational skills, technical and professional writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Requirements:  Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related area, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the master's degree program within three years

SALARY:  Competitive salary based on education and experience.

Head Softball Coach

Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking applicants for head coach of the Women’s Fast Pitch Softball team. Responsibilities for this position include developing/maintaining softball team, demonstrating competency in sport skill instruction, motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions.  This position can also entail recruiting duties.  The candidate must demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes.  They will also exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior, demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes. Coach will support policy and educational goals of the athletic department and the college.

 Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position.  Applicant must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a head coach. Experience in the recruitment of student athletes at the collegiate level.  Fund-raising and budgeting knowledge.

Resident Assistant Athletic Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking applicants for resident assistant coaching positions in its Residence Life and NJCANACHA athletic programs. Responsibilities for this position include demonstrating competency in sport skill instruction, motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach. This position can also entail recruiting duties depending on the candidate's interest under the direction of the head coach. The candidate must demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes. They will also exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior for goals set by head coach. The successful candidate will also demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with students in all areas on campus.  Also will serve in the residence halls as an adult Resident Assistant, assisting students professionally and personally as well as enforcing DCB residence life rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to build and maintain working relationships with college students. Ability to travel and work a varied schedule. Playing and/or coaching experience preferred.  Prior experience in residence life (RA) preferred, but not required..

DATE AVAILABLE: August 1, 2017

SALARY:  10 month contract, stipend position for coaching plus room and board in exchange for residence life responsibilities and duties.  Possible other duties on campus for additional pay.
